While the main building of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine remains closed to visitors, and the unique artefacts of our branch – the NMHU Treasury – are kept safely in storage, we continue to find new ways of engaging with our rich cultural heritage.

From now on, exploring the history and viewing the most striking pieces from our collection is possible from anywhere in the world. Together with our partners – the Lithuanian platform Wisit, who have supported us in this project – we have launched a user-friendly web resource featuring multilingual audio guides: https://nmhu.wisit.ai/.

The platform offers a wide range of languages: all materials are available in Ukrainian, English, French, German, Polish, Lithuanian, and Chinese. Specially for the exhibition “MİRAS. Heritage”, we have also made it possible to immerse yourself in Crimean Tatar culture and traditional art in Turkish.

Thanks to Wisit’s technology, the resource is remarkably easy to use – you can listen to the audio tours and view the exhibits directly from your smartphone, wherever you happen to be: at home or on the move. And once the museum reopens its doors to visitors, the same platform will serve as your personal digital guide in the exhibition halls themselves.

We warmly thank our Lithuanian friends for their partnership and for their contribution to promoting Ukrainian cultural heritage abroad.

Follow the link, choose the language that suits you best, and step into the world of our history.
